My darkroom is almost ready. I’m on the hunt for an enlarger table now. I need something sturdy, but not too big, because I don’t have enough space, also with a good height, so I won’t suffer much with my back problem.
I don’t have a sink there, only a place for the trays, but I have running water in the laundry nearby.
I decided to make my own print washer from a plastic container, like this one here. It will be enough for 30 x 40cm prints.
I’m happy to have a dedicated place where I can work anytime of the day. Before that, I had to set all things up every time and I could only work at night. It’s not a fancy darkroom. It’s tiny and simple, but it’s functional.

More flowers from my window. I really hope they last! :)

I want you always to remember me. Will you remember that I existed, and that I stood next to you here like this?

Be soft. Do not let the world make you hard.
Do not let the pain make you hate. Do not let the bitterness steal your sweetness.
Take pride that even though the rest of the world may disagree, you still believe it to be a beautiful place.

♪ O Willow Waly ~The Innocents (1961)
We lay, my love and I beneath the weeping willow,
But now alone I lie and weep beside the tree,
Singing “O Willow Waly” by the tree that weeps with me,
Singing “O Willow Waly” till my lover returns to me.
We lay my love and I beneath the weeping willow,
But now alone I lie.
O willow I die.
O willow I die…

I’m living in a new place after 15 years and still trying to adapt to the new neighbourhood. It’s in the same city, but in a different part of it. The first thing I noticed was that’s much colder and humid here, maybe because it’s surrounded by mountains. I have a big allergy problem, so that’s an extra thing to get used to.
It’s also taking a while till it feels like ‘home’, with still a few things to be fixed, but it’s all part of the moving process. It takes a little patience.
The good thing is that I’m closer to some of my friends, closer to the beach, closer to the garden and with a lot of new places waiting to be explored!
I’ll also have a permanent darkroom and that will make things much easier.
I Like this, this and this (love the quote too).

Perhaps when we find ourselves wanting everything, it is because we are dangerously close to wanting nothing.

Still pretty busy with all the moving thing, but very excited about a new beginning. New home, new friends, new photos, new perspectives and wishes. My head is a bit messy now, but everything will get into place and it will be for the better. Like it’s always been!
